In my opinion, the Bluebeam support article on Running Multiple Instances with Multi-Revu<\/a> is woefully short. It\u2019s literally three sentences. While my post won\u2019t be too much longer than that, I hope to shed some light on when this feature is useful and, more importantly, some of the pitfalls and how to avoid them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multiple Instances of Bluebeam Revu Simultaneously<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Good<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To open more than one instance of Revu simultaneously while using Windows, first have Bluebeam already open then right-click the Bluebeam icon on the taskbar and select Bluebeam Revu. This will open another instance of Bluebeam that is independent of the first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know of two primary reasons where this is useful:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. To be in two different Studio Sessions at the same time.<\/li>
  2. To have the ability to move pages via (dragging the thumbnails) from one PDF into another. See the GIF below for how this works.
