Intro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You know how you sometimes need to unstaple a PDF? Like, instead of taking multiple PDFs and \u201cstapling\u201d them into a single combined PDF, you want to \u201cunstaple\u201d a multi-page PDF and save each page as its own file?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ok, Bluebeam already has a name for this feature and it\u2019s not \u201creverse stapling\u201d. It\u2019s called Extract Pages<\/strong> \"\". You can use it to do just that: extract one or more pages and save them as their own PDF file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is particularly useful if you\u2019re working with Sets<\/strong> \"\", but that\u2019s a topic for another day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extracting Pages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can extract any number of pages as individual files or you can extract a subset of pages as their own combined file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Either way, the process is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**Pro tip**<\/strong> before we begin: If you\u2019re exacting lots of pages to be saved as individual files, make sure you have page labels set up beforehand<\/a><\/em>. This will prevent you from needing to name each file manually later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the Thumbails<\/strong> \"\"\u00a0view.<\/li>
  2. Select one or more thumbnails (whichever you want to extract). If you want all pages, you can skip this step.<\/li>
  3. Right click<\/strong> on one of the selected page thumbnails. If you want all pages, just right click on any thumbnail.<\/li>
  4. Select Extract Pages<\/strong> \"\".<\/li>
