Every Tuesday, I\u2019ll teach you simple techniques that you can learn in under 10 minutes and implement immediately to improve your workflow.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you ever been typing something in the Bluebeam search bar, hit enter, and then\u2026 crap! That\u2019s not what you typed! The autocomplete filled in your search term with a similar term you used before, but that\u2019s not what you wanted to type!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Been there, done that. But you have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clear your autocomplete history.<\/li><li>Turn off this feature altogether.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s not waste any time and get right into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Autocomplete Search History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The autocomplete options, previously searched words, and even a custom dictionary can be found by going to <strong>Revu <\/strong><strong>\u2192<\/strong><strong> Preferences <\/strong><strong>\u2192<\/strong><strong> Spelling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"190\" height=\"285\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/26_preferences_menu.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-586\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"801\" height=\"601\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/26_spelling_dialog.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-585\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/26_spelling_dialog.png 801w, https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/26_spelling_dialog-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/26_spelling_dialog-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 801px) 100vw, 801px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From here you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Turn off the autocomplete feature by unchecking the box.<\/li><li>Keep autocomplete on, but clear your previous search terms:<ol><li>Click <strong>Manage<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select <strong>Search<\/strong> from the <strong>Category<\/strong> dropdown.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Clear All<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, you might have also noticed the <strong>Custom Words<\/strong> section where you can add custom words by clicking the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"15\" height=\"15\" src=\"\">&nbsp;button. This is super handy for adding industry-specific terms or abbreviations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I think maybe every 6 months or so I have to go in and clear my search history. My search history becomes extensive and starts trying to autocomplete no matter what I type because I have so many words in there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you\u2019ve ever been frustrated with this like me, I hope this helps!
