Did you know you can copy properties from one markup to another? I didn\u2019t know this until a few weeks ago when a coworker mentioned it in passing. I was like \u201cWait, what? That\u2019s a thing you can do?\u201d Turns out, that\u2019s a thing you can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copying Markup Properties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s say you have several markups already in a PDF, and they have the wrong color, linetype, font, whatever. There are two different methods to copy the correct properties using either of two methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use an existing markup with all the properties you need<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Select the markup that has the properties you need.<\/li>
  2. Use keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+C<\/strong> or Right-click<\/strong> \u2192 Format Painter<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. Click on the markups you want to apply the changes to. You\u2019ll see the cursor change to a paintbrush icon \"\".<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Use a tool in one of your Tool Chests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    1. Find a tool in any Tool Chest that has the properties you need.<\/li>
    2. Right-click<\/strong> on the tool \u2192 Paint<\/strong> Format<\/strong><\/li>
    3. Click on the markups you want to apply the changes to. You\u2019ll see the cursor change to a paintbrush icon \"\".
