Tuesday Tidbits will help you fill in those gaps. Every Tuesday, I\u2019ll teach you simple techniques that you can learn in under 10 minutes and implement immediately to improve your workflow.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the things I love about Bluebeam is that there can be multiple methods to accomplish the same task. Each user can decide for themselves which works best for them. Today we\u2019ll cover 4 different methods for selecting multiple markups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"#CTRL-A\">CTRL + A<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 select all on the current page or all within the document<\/li><li><a href=\"#click-and-drag\">Click and drag<\/a> \u2013 best for selecting groups of markups clustered together<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"#SHIFT-click\">SHIFT + click<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 best for selecting specific markups scattered amongst others<\/li><li><a href=\"#markups-list\">Using the Markups List<\/a> \u2013 best for selecting markups that have something in common based on the columns in the Markups List, ie markups of the same type or markups created by a specific person<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several reasons you might want to select a bunch of markups at once: to modify their properties simultaneously, to delete them, to move them together, to copy them as a group, or to create a group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"CTRL-A\">CTRL + A<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This one doesn\u2019t need much explanation. Similar to many other programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc\u2026) you can use the keyboard shortcut <strong>CTRL + A<\/strong> to select all markups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you bring up the Markups List <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-373\" style=\"width: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/markups_list_icon.png\" alt=\"\">, which is by default at the bottom of the window, you can click on any markup and then use <strong>CTRL + A<\/strong> to select all markups in the <em>entire document<\/em>. Otherwise, if you\u2019re not in the Markups List, using <strong>CTRL + A<\/strong> will only select all markups on the <em>current page<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"click-and-drag\">Click and Drag<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve ever used AutoCAD, you might be familiar with its click-and-drag functionality to select objects. Bluebeam\u2019s click-and-drag is actually very similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, at the risk of sounding redundant, select the Select tool <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-371\" style=\"width: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/select_tool.png\" alt=\"\">. Then you can click and drag to select markups on the page. <em>The drag direction is important<\/em>, similar to AutoCAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click and drag left-to-right to select only those markups within the boundary box.<\/li><li>Click and drag right-to-left to select all markups within the boundary box plus all markups crossing the boundary box border.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/11_boundary_box.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-375\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"SHIFT-click\">SHIFT + Click<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To individually pick and choose which markups you\u2019d like to select, hold the <strong>SHIFT<\/strong> key while clicking on each markup. If you accidentally select one, just click it again (while still holding <strong>SHIFT<\/strong>) to deselect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/11_shift_click.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-377\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"markups-list\">Using the Markups List<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Markups List <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-373\" style=\"width: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/markups_list_icon.png\" alt=\"\">\u00a0can be accessed by clicking on the icon <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"20\" height=\"20\" class=\"wp-image-373\" style=\"width: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/markups_list_icon.png\" alt=\"\">\u00a0in the bottom left of the window or by dragging it up from the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here, you can sort by clicking on the column name. To select groups of markups, click on the first markup, hold the <strong>SHIFT <\/strong>key, click the last markup and all markups between those will be selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/lizlarsen.me\/bluebeamblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/11_markups_list.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-376\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Selecting markups might seem trivial, but it\u2019s something you\u2019ll use frequently.
